Losing Weight Through Laxatives
A 32-year-old woman has said she went from being morbidly obese to anorexic after spending weeks consuming nothing but diet Coke and laxatives - and going to the gym twice a day.
Natalie Bradley, 32, says her heart rate dropped so low she would often faint and collapse and a doctor warned she could contract sepsis from pushing herself in the gym.

At her heaviest Natalie was too big for dental treatment, was on crutches and had prediabetes, sleep apnea, and a bad back.

Natalie was first admitted to a psychiatric hospital at just 16. Struggling with her mental health and her weight, she spent the next 10 years in and out of hospital.
She was taken back into hospital in February 2020. She spent two weeks there, wasn’t eating, and says she wanted her life to be over.
Natalie found it difficult to develop healthy eating habits. She would only eat certain foods such as jelly, fruit, chocolate and sweets.
